High-Rise ResidentialHigh-Rise Balconies
Clean, low-visual-impact protection for modern residential balconies.
Patel Enterprise installs invisible safety grills made of marine-grade SS 316 stainless steel cables (2.5 mm). Your balcony stays fully protected, safe for children and pets, bird-proof and rust-proof, while your view stays wide open. Every project starts with an on-site survey and a written specification.
Micro-diameter cables preserve uninterrupted horizontal lines and daylight. Keep your high-rise panorama open, with no heavy bars in the way.
Calibrated 2" or 3" spacing prevents toddlers or pets from slipping through. Zero footholds eliminate climbing hazards present in decorative iron scrollwork.
Provides a humane barrier against pigeons and nesting birds without requiring unsightly sagging nylon nets that discolor and degrade in the sun.
Made from Grade 316 stainless steel with molybdenum, built to resist Gujarat monsoons, coastal sea air in Surat and urban pollution.
No flaking enamel, no rust scraping, no toxic fumes. An occasional wipe with a damp microfibre cloth keeps the satin finish looking new for years.
Matches anodised curtain walls, frameless glass balustrades and minimalist facades, so your building keeps its clean look.

We install in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Morbi, Anand and Navsari. Surat has coastal salt air and Ahmedabad has strong wind along SG Highway, so we use the same marine-grade SS 316 system everywhere and adjust the design to each site.
Surat's close proximity to the Arabian Sea and the Tapi estuary creates a high-salinity marine air pocket. We exclusively install our heavy 2.5 mm Marine SS 316 alloy cable with specialized anti-chloride anodized extrusions across premier riverfront and high-rise developments.
How marine-grade SS 316 cable grills compare with traditional MS iron grills on view, rust, airflow, maintenance and long-term cost in Gujarat’s climate.
| Dimension | Traditional MS Iron Grill | Patel Enterprise Tensile SS 316 Cable |
|---|---|---|
| Aesthetics & Resale Appeal | Heavy, cage-like look that makes the balcony less pleasant to use. | Clean, modern look that suits glass facades and contemporary buildings. |
| View & Horizon | 40–60% optical blockage; the eye constantly refocuses on thick 18 mm metal bars. | Near-unobstructed panoramic clarity; the cable recedes from view at distance. |
| Rust & Climate Durability | Rapid pitting and flaking rust each monsoon, leaving orange run-off stains on walls. | Marine alloy SS 316 with molybdenum resists extreme humidity and salt-fog. |
| Light & Natural Airflow | Impedes cooling cross-breeze and casts heavy linear shadows inside living areas. | Unrestricted breeze and thermal ventilation across all floors. |
| Maintenance Burden | Bi-annual wire-brush scraping, chemical red-oxide priming, and enamel repainting. | No repainting. A damp microfibre wipe once a quarter removes atmospheric dust. |
| Recurring Spend | Recurring spend on recoating labour, rust repair, and eventual replacement. | One deployment across a 20-year rated life. No recurring spend. |
Unlike welded iron grills that trap occupants during high-rise fires, Patel Enterprise cables can be sheared with emergency wire-cutters in seconds. Custom openable casement variants are available where municipal fire egress rules require them.
An invisible grill is a safety barrier made of thin, high-strength marine-grade stainless steel cables stretched tight between an aluminium top track and bottom track. The cables are spaced 2, 3 or 4 inches apart, so they stay firm without sagging, bending or rattling in the wind.
The tracks are anchored into the concrete lintel with heavy-duty expansion sleeves, and the aluminium is anodised or powder-coated. The result protects against accidental falls, intrusion and nesting birds while keeping your view open.
6063-T6 architectural-grade alloy track profile finished with 20-micron anodic oxidation. Resists coastal oxidation, UV fading, and provides complete concealment of turnbuckle heads for a razor-clean hairline profile.
The difference between permanent structural integrity and early failure lies in the alloy. This is why marine-grade SS 316 at 2.5 mm is the only specification we are willing to install.
Breaking strength around 280 kgf. Common in budget-grade installations and adequate indoors, but we do not specify it on a balcony.
Breaking strength of 400–430 kgf. Specified for every project regardless of floor, city, or exposure — including the ones that would not strictly require it.
Standard SS 304 contains chromium and nickel but no molybdenum. Grade SS 316 adds 2–3% molybdenum, which forms a self-healing passive oxide layer that resists pitting corrosion from chloride mist, urban smog, and monsoon humidity. On a coastal balcony that single element is the difference between year twenty and year six.
| Specification Parameter | Patel Enterprise Marine SS 316 | Standard Grade SS 304 | Traditional MS Iron Grill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corrosion Resistance | Resists saline atmosphere & chemical pollutants | Prone to micro-pitting in humid and salt air | Rapid oxidation and structural degradation |
| Coastal & Humid Service Life | 20 years rated | 5–7 years before pitting appears | 2–4 years before deep peeling rust |
| Point Breaking Load | 400–430 kgf (2.5 mm) | 220–250 kgf | Rigid weld, vulnerable to weld shear fatigue |
| Maintenance Cycle | Quarterly damp-cloth dusting | Annual anti-corrosion wash | Annual scraping & repainting |
| Repainting Requirement | Never | Never | Every 18 to 24 months |
| Recurring Spend | None across the rated life | Replacement, plus the disruption of a second crew | Highest — repainting alone exceeds original spend |
"Living on the 18th floor on Surat VIP Road, our previous iron grills began shedding rust within two monsoons. Patel Enterprise installed their 2.5mm Marine SS 316 system across 4 balconies in a single day. The Tapi river view is completely open and our toddlers play safely."
"As pediatric healthcare directors, patient safety is paramount. We commissioned Patel Enterprise for our 6-storey atrium in Bodakdev. Their dust-free installation and documented pull-test certification satisfied our structural safety audit effortlessly."
"We specify Patel Enterprise on all our high-end residential villa projects. The hairline profile of their anodized track vanishes seamlessly against exposed concrete and Italian marble lintels without clashing with the architectural envelope."
"Replaced all our heavy box grills in Bhayli. The difference in natural air and illumination is staggering. Plus, the pigeon menace that plagued our AC ledges is completely solved without unsightly nylon nets."
Straight answers about cost, strength, safety, fire exits, maintenance and installation.
The price depends on the area to be covered (in sq ft), the cable spacing you choose and the number of openings. Every balcony and window is different, so we give a written quotation after an on-site survey. Call +91 81548 35656 or request a site assessment to get yours.
A standard balcony is typically completed in one working day. Our engineer first surveys the site and issues a written specification. The crew then installs the tracks, cables and turnbuckles with dust-free drilling and finishes with a tension test and handover.
Our 2.5 mm Grade 316 high-tensile cables are tested to a minimum breaking load of 400 to 430 kgf (kilograms-force) per cable line. A standard human fall exerts dynamic impact force that is absorbed simultaneously across 3 to 4 adjacent cables, providing a composite resistance exceeding 1,200 kgf.
No. The core consists of 7x7 multi-strand stainless steel with high surface hardness. Scissors, kitchen knives, pliers, or box cutters cannot sever the cable. Only heavy industrial wire rope cutters with hardened bypass jaws can shear the steel, so children cannot cut it with household tools.
Yes. When installed with standard 2-inch (50 mm) cable spacing, pigeons cannot spread their wings or fly through the barrier. Furthermore, unlike thick iron bars or pigeon nets, birds cannot perch or roost on the slick nylon-jacketed micro-cables, which keeps your balcony much cleaner.
Traditional iron box grills can be a fire hazard because they are hard to open or breach quickly in an emergency. Patel Enterprise fixed cables can be cut with standard wire cutters during an emergency in under 12 seconds. For critical egress zones, we also manufacture custom openable casement frames that lock securely from inside.
Because they are not the same system. Lower-specification installations are generally SS 304 at a 2.0 mm gauge, which carries no molybdenum and begins pitting in coastal and monsoon air, typically in year five or six. Ours is SS 316 at 2.5 mm, rated for twenty years in the same air — before you count removal, re-drilling and a second crew in your home. We do not sell the lower specification, and our standard does not vary by city, project size, or negotiation.
Unlike mild steel which demands constant rust-scraping and toxic repainting, Patel Enterprise requires zero technical maintenance. Simply wipe down the nylon-sheathed wires with a damp microfiber cloth once every quarter to remove ambient airborne dust.
Yes. Modern Gujarat builders and housing societies frequently ban heavy MS iron grills because they ruin building facade uniformity. Invisible grills are widely approved by society management and developer committees because they are virtually invisible from the ground, preserving architectural elevation.
We install invisible grills in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Morbi, Anand and Navsari, including areas such as SG Highway, Bopal, Shela, Vesu, Adajan, Alkapuri and Kudasan.
Yes. Our minimum engagement is 80 sq ft. For smaller jobs we will refer you to a local fabricator.
